JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX is hiring a Principal Engineer to help scale our Generative AI capabilities across our Data Foundations Team. In this role, you’ll bridge advanced data engineering with AI/ML infrastructure to power real time, intelligent experiences across our brands. We're looking for a hands on technical expert who thrives in complexity, thinks strategically about system design, and enjoys building scalable solutions that turn data into action. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design next gen of generative AI platforms at FOX, creating secure, scalable, and cost effective reference architectures

• Build intelligent agents, copilots, and chat tools that enhance analytics, data governance, and automation

• Develop and optimize applications using leading foundation models like GPT4, Gemini, Claude, and open source LLMs

• Support the design of large scale data pipelines and platforms that support real time data insights, use cases, and advanced analytics

• Support a high impact engineering culture by mentoring team members, defining best practices, and contributing to the broader data community

• Work closely with stakeholders across product, business, and data science teams to convert strategic goals into novel data solutions

• Push innovation by researching new tech and finding new, cutting edge tools for our data engineering ecosystem

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 8+ years of professional experience in data or software engineering

• 5+ years of experience in building distributed data using Spark, Kafka, or similar

• Expert in Python, PySpark, and advanced SQL

• Strong experience in cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS

• Experience delivering production grade data pipelines in high scale environments

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $160,000.00-213,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
